Hello friends. I hope you’ve been keeping well. We had our first sprinkle of snow of the season. It wasn’t a lot but it definitely makes it feel more like Christmas is here. Today I want to share this year’s traditional Christmas front porch decor with you.
I love how it turned out. It took me a little longer than usual because I had other things to do. But I’m glad I got it done before it got too cold.
This year, I foraged my fresh greens from the forest and used items I already owned and I have to tell you it’s my favourite porch so far.
I started by attaching chicken wire along the wall. This made the process so much easier and it made it look so lush and pretty.
I have a short video of the process HERE. These beautiful wreaths are very old but they have held up so well and I love the vibrant green of the boxwood.
I added a simple satin red bow and I think it looks so pretty.
Once I placed the chicken wire, I lined two pre-lit garlands side by side (along the sides and the top) that gave me a great starting point.
I then started to fill it with faux greenery I already owned. I used ivy, eucalyptus etc. I even added some dried vines from our backyard.
After that, I attached the red bulbs. I made little clusters of three using various sizes.
Once the bulbs were on, I placed the fresh greens all around. I focused on the edges to make the garland look wider.
I’ve been saying this for a while, but our stoop needs a little love as the cement is looking a little old and dirty but that’s something we’ll have to tackle later on.
The larger bulbs are from Michaels and the the smaller ones from the Dollar Store.
I love how it turned out and I can’t wait to photograph it in the evening with all the lights on. 🙂
Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Wishing you a lovely week ahead.
much love,
Lucy

Your porch setup sounds absolutely stunning! The combination of fresh greens, pre-lit garlands, and vibrant red accents creates such a warm and inviting vibe. If you’re looking to enhance the ambiance further, consider adding a few lanterns or fairy lights to the mix. By the way, if you’re curious about local happenings or resources, an Gaston Criminal Records might provide some interesting insights. Looking forward to seeing the evening shots with all the lights aglow! 🌟
