Hello friends. How are you? I hope you’re doing well. I can’t believe that it’s time again to share this year’s Christmas tree.
This year I chose to a burgundy Christmas tree. I think it looks so elegant and the color combo just makes me happy.
I always have a hard time taking photos of the tree because of where it’s placed but I hope you like it. I usually add extra lights to the tree but this year, I decide to forgo the extra lights. I dug out my old Balsam Hill tree from 10 years ago! !!
Can you believe it?
As usual, I used handpainted ornaments. You can watch a video of me painting it HERE.
And I made these oversized ornaments to match. I will be sharing a tutorial but HERE is short video in the meantime.
I think incorporating small vignettes under the tree makes everything a little more whimsical and adds extra sparkle.
Fun fact, I’ve had some of these ‘presents’wrapped for years. I put them away each year and use them under the tree as fillers. I only add a few new ones to coordinate with the theme.
I also used some of the hydrangeas from our garden and some dried eucalyptus from the grocery store.
I used some dried roses I had and orange slices. I love this color combo so much.
And that’s it. I hope you found some inspiration. Please make sure you check out the rest of the beautiful trees from my friends below.
Sending you so much love,
Lucy

Since I’ve started following you, your Christmas tree always ends up on my Pinterest board. Always full and sophisticated, and your mantle wall is made for having a Christmas tree in front. The orange slices look really good with the burgundy.
