Hi. I hope you’re well. Just popping in again to say hello and share with you my traditional fall porch.
It’s similar to last year and the year before. I love keeping fall with traditional colors and it’s probably the only time of year when I really love orange.
To be honest, I haven’t been too motivated lately but setting up this little porch brought me joy.
I wanted to fill this little space with many, many pumpkins but in ‘real life’ it gets very expensive lol
So I set a budget and even going over budget, I still can’t get the ‘blogger’ ‘influencer’ pumpkin bonanza.
Thankfully, I have this adorable little guy who is the perfect addition to my fall porch. He’s so sweet.
I can’t believe that he’s 8 years old and it’s not until I see the photos, that I can tell that he’s getting to be an old guy đ
The stairs are looking a little rough. We’ve been in this house for a long time and I think our next big investment will be the front porch.
This is real life as we have three children in university and we’re paying for their tuition so some things take priority. đ
Here’s another shot of Brody. If you follow along you know that suffers from seasonal allergies, and you can see it in his eyes.
Poor guy.

Thank you for being real! As gorgeous as a porch full of pumpkins is, to be honest itâs completely unattainable for many households! I follow several bloggers, but as time goes on I feel many forget who their audience is. No one wants to fall into the âkeeping up with the Jonesâs trapâ, so I hate that what many post is simply not something their average viewer has the budget for!

Your front porch is divine! I agree with Denise…..I could not afford to buy the kinds of things bloggers buy. I love the look of the many pumpkins and especially the white ones and the âbumpyâ ones but will not pay the exhorbant prices the stores are asking. I mentioned to my husband this morning that since we are moving to Michigan (in between South Haven and Saugatuck) we could plant a pumpkin patch and grow our own next year! I canât wait! Have a wonderful and peaceful day!
Pumpkins are so expensive here in our area so I prefer a few ugly gourds or a few fake ones that I don’t feel I’ve wasted my money on as they just get tossed out. I feel that way about mums too. I’d just rather save for Christmas decor and enjoy the fall season. Your old guy is so sweet. They age quick.

So lovely and classic! We can’t even source the fancy pumpkins where I live, but I’m okay with the orange and white ones – classic and crisp and I love colour!

Are you kidding it looks so good! I too cannot afford to fill my porch, although Trader Joe’s makes it very tempting to do so, but I still love the simplicity of just a few pumpkins on the porch and it’s better than none đ Happy Fall!
