Hello sweet friends! I hope you’ve been keeping well. I’m enjoying my new ‘freedom’ even though that only includes leaving our room because our province is under a full lockdown….:(
It’s been great being able to create after last week. The first thing I did was make this decorative brass Kotinos resting wreath. It’s such a cute little decorative item and so easy to make.
I ordered some air dry clay and loved working with it.
But I have to admit that I got a little worried when after spray painting the leaves, the spray paint kept rubbing off….
I’m not really sure what happened. I used my favourite spray paint but for some reason, it did not adhere to the clay…(?)
It just rubbed right off….
I decided to use them anyway and ended up using gold paint at the end….
I think it turned out so pretty and if the spray paint had not let me down, it would have been better…lol
So there you go! My first craft after isolation. I truly hope you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for stopping by. Please check out the rest of the beautiful winter wreath from my friends below.
Sending you so much love,
Lucy

What a beautiful project. Quick tip, if you want to spray paint virtually ANYTHING, you must use a primer. The dry clay surface, is basically loose and dusty so the spray paint will just brush off. The primer binds to the clay and the spray sticks the the primer.
