Hello friends welcome to my Fall Home Tour 2019, hosted by my dear friend Krista.
If you’re coming from Shannon’s home, welcome!. I’m happy you’re here. Shannon has a beautiful home doesn’t she?
I really love seeing everyone’s style in these tours. I love that you can take inspiration from different people and come up with your own manner of decorating.
If you’ve been following my journey, then you might remember me saying that this particular space is my least favourite in our home. I find it hard to style and decorate because it’s a loooong room. I’m also very limited in the way I can place the furniture.
I also haven’t nailed exactly the style that I want …
I used grays and browns this year and tried to use pillows I already had. I’m really trying not to buy more stuff.
I’m working on a couple changes to the front entrance and added this awesome sideboard from HomeDepot. More on that next week.
I’m also craving less and therefore, I wanted to move those white units upstairs to my future office but didn’t want to inundate hubby with more requests, so I will probably do that in a couple of weeks. Give the guy a little time to breathe ha. I’m hoping that it will look less crowded once they’re out of the way.
I still like these outdoor chairs here but again, I’m just so unsure if this is the style I want to go with…
I mean it looks cool but there’s something that I’m still not satisfied with and I just don’t know what it is.
I shared the family room HERE. Make sure you check it out. This room IS my favourite in the house and I love everything about it. Now if I could just somehow translate it onto the living room.
I also shared a little bit of the kitchen HERE.
I wanted to keep things very simple this year…
And next week I will also be sharing our master bedroom refresh…
Here is a tiny, tiny peek….BTW, I’ve never read those books and I don’t know if they belong to hubby or I got them at the thrift store…?
That’s all I have for now, thank you so much for stopping by today. Please make sure you check out my friend Kelly’s beautiful home. You’re going to love it !

Beautiful Lucy! I’m loving all the brown and natural elements so warm and cozy.

I love your use of texture and a basic color scheme. I wonder what the judicious use of some greenery would do? a large plant and maybe a hanging plant. It could be easier to handle types like pothos, spider plant hanging plants. And easier large plants like spathiphyllum or philodendron, I think the addition of some greenery is what may be missing. But I love it as is.

Love the chairs in the dining room!

Thanks for sharing your home on the fall home tour. I love all the neutrals and the different textures!

I am in complete alignment with your streamlined autumn decor. Instead of using Halloween and Thanksgiving specific items, I decided to simplify and decorate with Fall inspired pieces like wheat sheaves, foliage from the yard, wood acorns, and felted pumpkins. This more generic approach should last me until the snow flies…about 6-8 weeks in my neck of the woods.

I love the way you mixed these colors, Lucy! The room feels so warm and cozy.

This is my first visit to your blog and I love your style! I’ve been in a simplifying mode over here for the last 3 years and I’m definitely going more modern with my décor. May I ask where you got your dining room table and chairs? I’m looking to change ours and I absolutely love the style of yours! Beautiful home!

I love this design. Would love to know the paint color used for the family room fireplace and where you purchased those gorgeous neutral living chairs with wood arms. Thank you

I love your beautiful room. I may have missed it but what blue paint was used on your built ins, I love it!

Just curious. What type of color would you say your fireplace is? Is that actually a black or a blue? Thank you! I am obsessed!

Great blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally confused .. Any recommendations? Many thanks!
