Are you sick of me yet? I hope not because I have a lot more fall content coming your way…:) Including this pretty fall arrangement for a shallow mantel. It didn’t turn out exactly the way I wanted it but I still love colors against the dark wall. There was a time when I did elaborate mantels and though I enjoyed putting them together and I still love seeing others put theirs together, my taste and style have changed and I no longer want too much
on the mantel. Well, except for Christmas, then give me all the greenery and sparkly lights.
Last week I bought the little brass jar from the thrift store and I knew it would be perfect for the mantel because it’s small enough to fit. I also went out and bought some mums and a couple of sunflowers from the grocery store and those very unusual looking ‘flowers’ from the flower shop. The lady said they were left overs from a wedding so each stem was $2.00. I have no idea what they are called but I loved the texture and the muted color. I then went for a little walk in the forest with hubby and Brody and I picked little twigs and some fun greenery.
I wanted the arrangement to be a little more asymmetrical and organic but it ended up looking pretty ‘normal’ ha. So I’m going to try again next week and try not to overthink it too much.
I had also videod the process but the video quality was just not great and I didn’t really want to post it. I promise to record the process of the next one.
I’m not sure if I’ve showed you our new chairs yet? I got them this spring and they are super comfy.
As you can see the mantle is as simple as it gets. Just the arrangement and the candles.
I still haven’t styled the shelves for fall but I did add a little wooden pumpkin and the wooden bowl I bought at the thrift store.
In other news, I can’t wait to show you the pretty arrangement I made using that pretty baske. Coming to you on Monday…:)
In the meantime, please don’t forget to visit my friends and their beautiful mantels and vignettes for more inspiration. And as usual, thank you KRISTA for putting this hop together.
much love,
Lucy

I love the painting of the stairs that you posted recently. Will you be selling posters or wall framing size of this?
Thank you,
Catherine

The result looks really amazing. It’s amazing how much these decor details can improve your interior. Dried flowers and posters are exactly what should be in my living room. In addition, at one time here https://soposters.com/ , I discovered an amazing variety of different posters for every taste.
