Hello friends. Summer is finally here and that means delicious outdoor cocktails. I’m happy to be joining my friends to share some yummy drinks for your summer entertainment.
Before I start, I want to thank my friend Krista for hosting this fun blog hop.
Today I’m sharing a grapefruit pineapple margarita that will probably be a regular for me this summer. It’s so refreshing and of course you can make it with or without alcohol.
It also looks so pretty doesn’t it?
You’re also getting a little sneak peek at our new backyard makeover. It’s finally done and I could not be happier…:)
I got this pretty tray at Homesense, or Homegoods and I love it. Such an easy way to add a little color to your space. A tray, a couple of palm leaves and some fruit…done and done.
The patio set is called Tofino from Canadian Tire and I can’t wait to share with you the rest.
But let’s get to the yummy topic at hand…
Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup / 5.3fl oz pineapple juice
- 2/3 cup / 5.3fl oz pink grapefruit juice
- 75ml / 5.3fl oz Tequila
- 50ml / 1.7fl oz Cointreau
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 tbsp coarse salt
- 2 tbsp granulated pink salt
- Slices of grapefruit to decorate

Mix the pineapple and grapefruit juice

Place salt on a plate and run a lime around the rim of your glasses. Dip rim of glass in salt.

Put the juices and all remaining ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Add a handful of ice cubes.

Shake vigorously until a frost forms on the shaker.

Strain into the prepared glasses and add a tablespoon of chipped ice in each (optional).
Enjoy!
You can also place the juices in the freezer for a couple of hours and blend in blender for more of a slushy drink. 🙂
