Hello friends. I hope you’re doing well. I’ve been waiting to share with you this incredible new product by my friends from Cricut. Last month I took a little secret trip to Utah with other makers and swore to secrecy.
LOL…But seriously, we had our minds blown by Cricut’s new Infusible Ink. It honestly is one of the coolest product I’ve seen and I know you’re also going to love.
If you’re a Cricut user, you’re going to be blown away, if you’re not a Cricut user, this might just make you become one. I know I’m so inspired to continue making with the my Cricut.
The new infusible ink is a brand new product by Cricut that will be available at Michaels later on this week. Infusible ink is just that, ink that infuses itself to the material you’re working with.
It comes in two forms, infusible ink sheets and markers.
Cricut created a series of blanks like, t-shirts, onesies, tote bags, coasters etc. These blanks have been tested to optimize the ink and brings personalization to the next level with its vibrancy and permanence.
Today I wanted to show you some of the fun projects I created…
We’ll start with my favourite using the infusible ink markers. I LOVE this because you can create a truly beautiful custom piece and the results are stunning. It’s like magic.
These markers give you the flexibility to draw your own design on a regular piece of paper and transfer it, use the Cricut design space or even print out a design and simply trace it using the markers.
To make these coasters you will need:
- Cricut EasyPress 2
- Cricut EasyPress mat
- Cricut standard cutting mat
- Infusible Ink pens
- Cricut Infusible Ink compatible ceramic coasters
- Cardstock
- Butcher paper (included in the Infusible Ink paper package )
- Heat resistant tape (optional)
- Printer paper
- Scissors
- Cotton cloth (to wipe any lint off coaster)
- Print or draw out your design and outline with marker. I drew this free hand pattern and made it a little bit bigger than the coaster.
- Cut around design.
- Wipe coaster with a lint free cloth. This is a very important step as any debris left on the coaster will result in small unwanted spots on the coaster or surface.
- Place a piece of cardstock on top of the easy press mat.
- Place design over cardstock, design facing up. Place coaster shiny side down over design.
NOTE: You can use heat resistant tape to secure design to the coaster. - Set Press to 400 degrees and set for 240 seconds. NOTE: The tile is extremely hot, so please allow to cool prior to removing your design.
I love the way these turned out and I can’t wait to get my hands on all the different markers that are available.
I also made these amazing coasters which I also love so much.
To make these coasters you will need:
- Cricut EasyPress 2
- Cricut EasyPress mat
- Cricut standard cutting mat
- Infusible Ink transfer paper
- Cricut Infusible Ink compatible square coasters
- Cardstock
- Butcher paper (included in the Infusible Ink paper package )
- Heat resistant tape (optional)
- Printer paper
- Scissors
- Cotton cloth (to wipe any lint off coaster)
I wanted to recreate a Moroccan style tile. I chose this SVG file rom THIS SHOP . You can print each tile one at a time, but I decided to print them all at once.
1. Place your Infusible Ink sheet onto a standard grip cutting mat, color side up
2. Once cut, cut out each square and weed away the negative area.
3. Set your easy press to 400 F and 60 seconds
4. Place cardstock over mat
5. Use a lint free cloth to wipe tile.
6. Place design with infusible ink face down over tile.
7. Place butcher paper over coaster.
Place Easy Press over tile. Allow to cool down and remove sheet…..Ahhhmmmaaazzziinnng right? Also note how vibrant the color is as oppose to the ink sheet.
These are so pretty don’t you think?
For the last project, I made a little tote with the words ‘mom vibes’ .
Look how incredible this ink is? I also made a quick video to show you the steps. HERE
I’d love to know what you think? Isn’t amazing?
You can check out all the various patterns and blanks HERE.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. See you soon xo
