Happy Wednesday friends. How are you? I’m sharing a little bit of summer in the family room. I didn’t do too much and I’m seriously dying to paint the shelves white for summer but
I’m going back and forth about it. At the same time, my schedule is so busy that I’m hesitant to start. (?)
I did order a new lighter and bigger rug for this space…
I want to incorporate some blue pillows and was hoping to get the ones I ordered on time, but didn’t. But these are great.
I added a little bit more greenery to the shelves…
and move these chairs back. Our son actually took one of our couches with him and now I’m waiting for new chairs to use in the other room.
By the way, I placed some fern in this girl last minute…
I also brought in some more summery stuff for the table.

I love, love, love the blue! Please don’t paint it. Why not make removable fabric covered foam core inserts for the back of the shelves? That way you could get a pop of temporary color and swap out the fabric to match pillows, seasonal decor, etc. Another idea Would be just to paint the raised molding white…

Did you find out the paint color? I always think it looks dark gray or black in the pictures. I’d be very curious to know what the name/color of the paint is . It does look like it is blue-ish. Would love to know! And is there a source list for this room?
