Hello friends…I hope you had a nice and restful long weekend. Summer is in full bloom and since both of my laptops decided to stop working, I’ve been enjoying some ‘forced’ down time. Admittedly, I’ve been a little nervous of falling behind with emails and such, but I have truly enjoyed the time spent with family. It’s so easy to allow the days to just pass you by without really being present, so I am very grateful to have had this time.
Yesterday, Bella and I made some fun homemade scented watercolors for eHow and I’ll have the tutorial next week (but I gave you a little sneak peek on Snapchat and Instagram.)
Today, we made some delicious watermelon pizza. Simply cut a thick slice of watermelon, smothering it with coconut whipped cream (here, or you can use yogurt if you want to save even more time) and place any type of fruit you would like on top and enjoy!
I think it looks so pretty and would make a beautiful party dish, don’t you think? These beautiful napkins are from my sweet friend Fi from Bluebellegray. Gorgeous, right?
We have host of things we’re hoping to do this summer, which began with escaping the heat by going to the theater to watch Finding Dory. The kiddies are going strawberry picking with their aunt and cousins today and before the week is out, we’ll head to the farm and pick some raspberries.
I truly hope you’re enjoying YOUR summer so far.
much love,

My mo would love this and I wish I could go raspberry picking as my mom loves raspberries but I broke my foot! I have it all bandaged up and I have a boot on it. I am icing it and trying as hard as I can to stay off of it but that’s kind of hard when you’re a caregiver to your parents. When your 4″6′ tall there are a lot of things you can’t reach. I was standing on a stool trying to reach said high things when my foot slipped off and banged up against the stool. By the grace of our Lord I didn’t fall off and hit my head on the stove or the concrete floors in our basement I just broke a bone in my left foot. I’ve never broken anything before but I sprained my right ankle years ago and it was much worse and more painful which is why I didn’t think I broke this one. Since I am really taking it easy, I am able to color and make cards and read. However, I can’t tend to my garden which is growing and the only thing I can do is water it. I might, depending on how my foot feels on Mon. go out and stake up my peas.We shall see how I feel. I don’t want to injure my foot anymore then I already have. Thanks for showing us a yummy desert. Do you want to see Finding Dory again? I want to go! I will twitch my nose and be at your house Mon. afternoon! I have the boot so I can walk on it. LOL
