Adult coloring pages have become very popular as of late and I thought it would be a cute idea to convert a tote bag into a coloring page. This would make such a sweet gift don’t you think?
Fill it with coloring books and some fabric markers. You can find the details over at ehow along with a free printable for you to create your very own.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you have a beautiful day
much love,

I do this all the time but not like you did. I am a rubber stamper and colorer, colorist? I thought I was making up words until my spell check corrected me. Anyway, they make ink that you can stamp on fabric and I’ve done it on tees, canvas bags like the one in your photo and the sheets on my bed. Some fabric ink is usable on paper and fabric and some is just usable on fabric. A lot of the time I use black but I have used colored ink too. Then you color with fabric markers or fabric paint. Before you do anything on any fabric and that includes the bags, you have to wash the sizing out of them. I don’t know why they put sizing in fabric but if you don’t wash it out, the colors will fade.I tried googling why they put sizing in fabric but I got plenty of stuff about clothing sizes but not what I wanted. Anyway, once it is stamped on you have to heat set the design. They claim you get an uneven heat set in your dryer and you should use an iron with no steam on the setting for the fabric for 1 min. 10 seconds. You should do that for each part of the design, then if you aren’t sure if that was enough, you can put it by itself in the dryer. You could probably hang it on your clothesline on a sunny day too. This prevents the ink from fading and from turning your hubbies underwear pink when you do laundry. LOL So I get to stamp and color, 2 things that I love to do! I love what you did however, my freehand art isn’t as good as yours so I use stamps. Oh and by the way, if you buy fabric glue, you can use glitter on your bag, sequins, rhinestones, all kinds of fun things! Aileen’s makes the best glues for this. I’m going to make more bags because now you have inspired me!
