Happy first day of April!
Have you ever pranked someone or been the victim of a prank on this day, April’s fools’ day? I can honestly say, that I have never been pranked, save for the time the shower head was placed completely facing outwards and when I turned it on, I got soaked.
No one has taken claim for that particular ‘incident’ ha. But I am not one for revenge so
I just let it go. Boring, I know.
I did however, played a little prank on my younger brother when I was young.
He had fallen asleep on the couch watching TV and he still had his glasses on.
So I took some Vaseline and gently rubbed it all over the lenses.
I nicely woke him up and watched as he panicked when he thought he was losing his vision because everything around him was blurry. He kept rubbing his eyes underneath his glasses, and kept saying to me, “I can’t see!” “I can’t see”.
Obviously now, I think it’s a little bit of a cruel joke but at the time I was on the ground laughing. He never got me back for that, not yet anyway. :/
Speaking of pranks, I hope that this beautiful Spring day we had today,
is not a practical joke and that the nicer weather finally sticks around.
I have seen a couple of you, post some terrifying
winter scenes this week on your Instagram feed. eek.
Do you have Instagram? It really is one of the
funnest ways to keep in touch with friends or favourite blogs 😉
But I digress, today was such a beautiful Spring day and I did a little bit of Spring decorating on our front entry/mudroom.
Nothing fancy at all, jut a few tulips, my faux egg specimen
and I just could not resist using Bella’s super cool rain boots as a vases.
Bella : “Momma, that looks so pretty! but no one puts flowers inside rain boots”
Very true, but the contrast of the orange and
yellow tulips and the turquoise of the boots was just irresistible. 🙂
Do you recognize the pillows?
They are from my Society 6 shop and they make me happy, happy, happy.
Our Spring entryway, bright, airy and in my opinion, pretty. 🙂
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit,
don’t forget to get your April’s desktop calendar here.
Hope you have a beautiful day !
much love,

I was checking for some way to boost up the entryway this spring and came across your beautiful work for your entry way. Nice idea using the boots to hold your flowers – adds to a vibrant look too! Talk about pranks…that idea of using the vaseline for the glasses was quite original. You frightened him didn’t you? Thanks so much for sharing Lucy:)

Today I share this story and question. Many have asked if I actually did it. The answer is no, I did not. However, a friend of mine saw the shot from a different vantage point and said that it was a definite prank.
