Hello everyone! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by.
I am excited to be able to participate along
with 12 other creative bloggers in the
What’s your style? series.
You will find all of their links at the end of this post.
We will be sharing with you a different part of our homes in hopes to inspire your own style and we will also have a great giveaway as a little bonus.
Today we are sharing with you our main living room space.
I must admit that though this is probably one of my favourite places in our home to sit in, we still have a lot to do in here, like build built in shelves around
the fireplace and continue with the crown moulding around the room.
But for now, I love that it feels light an airy and that it’s not full of ‘stuff’.
I’m sure you can relate to the ever evolving style of your home. What was once appealing for your home no longer feels like it fits your lifestyle or taste. I don’t think one ever reaches a point when you are completely satisfied with a room. There is always something that needs to be changed or rearranged. I think this specially true for creative individuals who constantly move furniture from one room to another.
To be honest, I feel like my style is still evolving and
I’m not even sure if I know what it is yet.
I suppose it’s a medley of styles and depending on the season one seems to
be more prominent than the other.
For instance, this same space takes on more of a coastal feel in the summer….
and during the winter and Christmas season my style changes once again.
But one thing remains consistent, and that is, all the little handmade touches that make it feel like home and give the space meaning. (If you follow me on Instagram, then you might have seen when I shared the process of making this little guy out of polymer clay.)
I also love to surround myself with vintage finds and items that tell a story.
Fresh flowers and their softness…
And of course those things that bring a smile to my face, like my art…
I think that at the end of the day, you don’t need to have a set style.
If you infuse your house with those things that you truly love and have special meaning to you and those your family, that’s when your house
becomes a home and it just feels right.
becomes a home and it just feels right.
Do you have a style or are you still trying to figure it out like me?
Thanks once again for stopping by.

I definately need a fire surround even if i don’t have a fire in the middle of it lol. Truly lack space for lovely displays but you don’t have to look far for creative touches. Lovely read 🙂

Lovely post and lovely home! I absolutely love the embroidery hoop wreath. It is so simple and elegant. We moved into our new home several months back and a lot of the art work I had at my old house, just didn’t seem to “fit” in our new home. I think I have grown tired of it, and like to change things up like you mentioned. I have my first fireplace, and I have such fun switching out for the seasons. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us! Kari

Love your soft and feminine decor! As for me, my next job to tackle will be the living room – not sure what my style is either, but I think it’ll be a little on the modern side. By the way, I’ve been into deers lately, and I just love how your whimsical deer head looks over the fireplace. I found a similar one in ZGallery, so hopefully I’ll be getting one too. 😉 Thanks for the inspiration!
