Hello again! We are getting closer and closer to the big day and I can’t wait!
Today I wanted to share some tips, a few more details of our Christmas tree,
and also provide a couple of the ‘secrets’ I used to make it look full and lush.
inexpensive DS scarves to wrap around the tree in place of a garland.
SECRET: Instead of buying several scarves, I only bought a few and cut them in
half. weaving them in and out the tree instead of wrapping them directly around.
To keep with the theme, I added small birch branches
and a few pine cones, collected from our walks.

I love the interest the branches give the tree.
To fill in all those little gaps and holes on the tree, I used real greenery.
SECRET: I sprayed it with fake snow so it would blend into the tree a little better.
Adding this little detail made the tree look a lot fuller than it actually is.
I used old ornaments.
And most of of the new ornaments were handmade (tutorial here).
A sweet little skate cut out of music sheet and glittered blade.
Last year’s drop cloth ornaments (tutorial here).
And lots of indoor snowballs (tutorial here).
Cinnamon dough gingerbread man (tutorial here).
I didn’t use a skirt for the tree, but surrounded it with bushels.
Crates to hold presents.
And even a couple lanterns with snowy pine
cones (sorry I don’t have a better photo)
So there you are – our beautiful, creatively decorated cabin themed Christmas tree…:)
Thank you so much for visiting!
I hope you have a great day …xo
