Hello friends, thank you for coming!
Last weekend we celebrated our nephew’s first birthday and made some sweet penguin cupcakes to say Happy Birthday. The following day, I finally got around to making hubby some of those delicious gourmet apples he loves so much. They were yummy if I say so myself.
This week I was feeling a little rushed to get Halloween over with and Christmas started, but I’m taking a step back and enjoying the now. I talk about it here.
And lastly, I gave another little sneak peak into my sketchbook, which seems to take away all the troubles of the world.
On the home front, we had one of the quieter Halloweens I can remember. There weren’t a lot of knocks on our door, likely because of the weather, which makes my heart ache as I think of all those poor folks down in New York. Disasters and human suffering affect me deeply.
Jaime was worried she didn’t do enough this week as she was extremely busy organizing her Pinterest boards; you need to go check them out. I know how much time that takes and I’m impressed she was able to accomplish so much given the beautiful view she has. If it were me, I’d likely want to just curl up with a book in front of the fireplace while watching the beautiful view of the water. Speaking of reading, Jaime put together a great list of books that are must reads. She also has a sweet giveaway going on right now, which would be perfect as a Christmas gift (is that considered re-gifting?) Shhh, I won’t tell anyone 😉

She is way ahead of the game and has began her Christmas crafts and made such sweet handpainted dish towels using Jacquard Metallic paints. And…she is giving them away RIGHT now on her blog. Go here to enter. In between showing us her AMAZING family room makeover , she is baking cookies and putting together a Thanksgiving menu. I told you she has been busy!
