I used the beadboard wallpaper by Martha Stewart. We had bought it for a different purpose, but I love how it looks on the little hutch…:)
And there you go…the little hutch that could. I’m sure this little hutch will become a focal point in our home and will change with the seasons…
I hope I didn’t bore you with too many pictures; I guess I’m a proud momma…:)
As usual, thank you for calling today. I hope to see you very soon.
Remember to come back as I will announce the winner of the hand painted tote as well as I will be sharing with you a very important and dear to my heart event I will be attending.
sending you much love,
Lucy

Beadboard wallpaper?? I never knew that existed! Love how you used it (and everything about your hutch).
Kristin_Texas says
GREAT job! It doesn’t even look like the same piece as before. It’s so beautiful. Truly, you did a perfect job. It’s a masterpiece now.
And that beadboard is actually wallpaper! I just fell in love. Lol! Not once did I look at those pics and think that wasn’t real wood. That’s amazing.
Loved the title of this post, by the way. :p

What a beautiful job on the hutch and I love your pretty way of displaying the items inside also! I am thinking I need to get the paint out for my china closet that is similar to this one.

Oh Lu! You should be a proud mama!!!! HE turned out beautifully! I love that you knew you could make it beautiful and then you did! After all of my home renovations I would just LOVE to do a piece that I could finish in a normal amount of time…. because truly to step away and see the beauty…. how wonderfully rewarding! :o) You are going to become a perfect re-finisher I just know it! You are just SO darn talented! :o)

I love seeing the completion of a vision! It looks beautiful, Lucy! Almost coastal with the bead board wallpaper, and beachy blue! Love it! It’s so cool how we can look at something and see it’s soul, and even show it’s soul to others! That’s the very heart of vintage decor! It is sooo hard for me to shop retail since the pieces with character, a story, and soul are resale!!
Have a wonderful day, and thank you for always bringing beauty to my day!!
Blessings,
Becky

Lucy, it’s soo cute! I have a hutch that I’d like to paint. I’m toying with maybe trying a light color on it, instead of just painting it white. But white will always “go”, so we’ll see. That’s for sharing your gorgeous pictures. You did a fabulous job!!

Oh Lucy — your hutch looks amazing! I can’t believe that the beadboard is actually wallpaper. Seeing the Pop Shoppe bottles certainly brought back some good memories! Your sense of styling and colour is phenomenal. Thanks as always for sharing!
Lachelle says
The beadboard texture definitely puts this piece over the edge. Nicely done. What kind of paint did you use? I’m seeing a lot of chalk paint and wax everywhere and wonder if anyone has used this technique?
I am LOVD says
I am in love with this. Great job, Lu! And, if you hadn’t put beadboard in the back of the hutch, I would have suggested wallpaper, to really have the shelves stand out…but love the beadboard!!!! I wouldn’t cover that up for the world!

Lucy, it is divine! You are such a crafty minx. I’m so intrigued by the word ‘hutch’. In Australia, we would call it a ‘dresser’ – very English sounding, isn’t it? J x
