I sit here in our dark bedroom and I can hear the snap crackle pop of Victoria Day fireworks in the distance. My curiosity gets the better of me and I run to the window to see if I can spot any of the beautiful man made stars. I do, and I remain by the window hypnotized by the bright colours in the sky, just as I did when I was little.
One by one, the kiddies come into the bedroom “complaining” that the sound of the fireworks is not allowing them to sleep; this time they do have a good excuse and so I allow them to peek through the window and watch for a little while.
We had perfect weather the last couple of days and were able to get a lot of gardening done. I was also able to make this little caddy for my herbs.
Last week, the kiddies and I made their Grandmothers little herb gardens as a Mother’s Day present. I kept some of the tags the kiddies had made because I knew I wanted my own…
I immediately thought of a previous project using one of those multipurpose baskets you see at the Dollar Store.
Would this not also look so cute with vintage bottles and beautiful flowers displayed….hmmm?

How cute is that! I love that you let the kids watch the fireworks for a bit…it is those things that they will remember for life. xo Diana

It’s very cute, but with all that rust, I sure hope your tetanus shots are current! So many adults have let their immunizations expire! When was the last time you had a tetanus shot? It is very easy to get a puncture wound from wire.
