Hello my sweet friends, I hope you had a wonderful week. I’m so glad it’s the weekend, aren’t you?
Before anything else, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your well wishes. I realize you likely have many other blogs you follow, but that you take the time to leave your sweet comments means a great deal and they do not go unappreciated.
– Using the same technique used here, dye the Christmas bulbs.
– Please refer to this tutorial to tie your jute netting, but start by making a hoop that will fit at the bottom as shown.
– Tie a knot at the top
– You’re done. So super easy, no?
I was patting myself on the back for a brilliant idea and then spotted these…Pottery Barn buoy glass filler: beautiful and a “steal” at $25.68 for a set of 6. But given it cost me $2.99 – the price of discounted bulbs at the end of the season – I think I’ll stick with mine.
Well my sweet friends, I hope you enjoyed this last ‘live’ post as the balance of the posts this week will be scheduled (so please forgive me not responding to your comments right away).
The posts are reflective of my state of mind (‘beachy’) and no, I won’t be posting pictures of me laying at the beach, but they may make you long for summer….;) I sure hope you love them, I kinda do…

Have a wonderful trip! Enjoy the time off. Although it’s hard to step away, it’s good for the soul. 🙂 Love the buoys. We have a few fishermen in my family and these remind me of them. Take Care, Mel

I’ve been collecting vintage glass floats for about two years – I just love them 🙂 Your take on floats great! They look just like the real thing. I’ve been thinking about putting some glass floats in the planters on my front porch this summer, but I think I might follow your tutorial and make some faux ones instead – just in case there’s a float thief in our neighbourhood 😉
