I first saw it in a magazine and most recently here.
I used a bobby pin to scrape some eyeshadow onto a clean paint pallette. You can also scrape the shadow onto a piece of paper and then pour the powder right into the bottle.
Put a few drops of the clear nail polish onto the shadow powder, start by adding a little at a time until you get the consitency of nail polish.
With a toothpick, stir the polish and the powder together making sure all of the shadow powder is dissolved into the lacquer. If you pour the powder, ensure it is completely crushed and there are no little chunks. Once poured it into the bottle, shake the contents really well.
I used the clear nail polish brush to apply the new color. Use a cotton pad soaked in nail polish remover (I actually had to ask hubby to clean the brush because I didn’t want to smudge my nail polish). You don’t have to worry about this if you used the bottle to mix your shadow.
Notes: The nail polish will have a matte look if there is more shadow pigment than lacquer. You can add a top coat of the clear lacquer to add shine to your nails.

What a great idea. I don’t have a lot of extra makeup because i never wear it, but I love that color you made.

Well, aren’t YOU clever? Just make sure you don’t paint it on your eyelids…cuz…well, that would NOT be a good thing! xxoo Diana

This is so cool. I bet you could use pearl ex, that why you don’t have to ruin your make-up.

Hmmm…very clever idea. I have a whole drawer full of eyeshadow I never wear and now I know I can put it to good use!

Wow, I NEVER would have thought of this. And its a lovely look. As a person who also has often had paint covered nails, I know how great it is to have an opaque polish to hide the mess.
