“Every character has an inward spring; let Christ be that spring. Every action has a keynote; let Christ be that note, to which your whole life is attuned.”— Henry Drummond
I am preparing our little nest to welcome spring…
After observing this picture, I realized it had a significance. I think of the protection of God over his children (the nest inside the glass lantern), yet the way he gives us free will over our actions (the open door).
I spray painted an old rain boot and planted a little daffodil…
a little homemade nest, nestled in the branch of a cherry tree…
I love cherry blossoms…
The sun beaming through the window
and warming up my heart…
and warming up my heart…
I painted some wooden bird houses
to make them look well loved…

I purchased an old wreath from Goodwill for
$2.00 and made 5 little bird nests out it…

I have prepared a little tutorial on how to make
this ‘almost real’ cherry blossom branch…
I love jars for displaying just about anything…
The large wine vase was bought for $3.00 at a second hand store. While beautiful as it was, I decided to use the same technique I used to paint these jars. It now looks like a beautiful antique treasure.
And since I’ve been practicing this technique, I think I am ready to do a tutorial for you.
The days outside are getting longer and although it’s still cold, it’s feeling like spring inside our nest.
Smile lots today!
much love,
Lucy
