If you know me, you know I’m not much of a bragger and don’t necessarily take compliments very well. That’s not to say I don’t like compliments because, well, who doesn’t(?).
And today I was given a HUGE one.
You see, a couple of weeks ago, I hesitantly entered a bloggy contest. I say ‘hesitantly’ because I was on the fence as to whether or not I was going to enter. It wasn’t until I was encouraged by another sweet blogger to go for it that I decided I would do it.
I had nothing to lose and this to gain…
YAY for the Craftberry Bush!
I entered the DIY Monthly Project with the Embossed Venetian Plaster Vignette. I cannot tell you how excited I was when I found out from Roeshel from the DIY club and the DIY Showoff that there was a ‘little surprise waiting for me’. There were so many wonderful entries that I am so flattered that I was picked. I truly can’t imagine how hard it must be to pick just one project. So to all the people involved in that process – Thank you so much!
I was not only lucky enough to win an amazing prize, but I learned a little lesson and that is to take chances. To believe in yourself…and even if you don’t get picked, there may be someone out there that is looking up to you even without you knowing.
So friends, go for it!
much love,
Lucy

Congratulations, Lucy! That’s fantastic! I’m jotting this down for myself… “even if you don’t get picked, there is someone out there that is looking up to you even without you knowing.” Great advice.
