Making the simple complicated is commonplace; making the complicated simple, awesomely simple, that’s creativity. – Charles Mingus
Last week, I started a series of simple, yet elegant wrapping ideas. I will continue this series every Saturday for the next 3 weeks (can you believe there are only 5 weekends before Christmas?!?).
Would you join me? I would love to inspire you…
An old sweater serves as the main wrap and a vintage belt is the ultimate topper. This gift has such a handsome and masculine feel to it. I used an old belt from our closet, but your local dollar store likely has belts that can pull off this look.
By layering several ribbons and fabrics in monochromatic colours, this very neutral palette has so much texture yet its simplicity untouched.
Just as the previous picture, the neutral palette becomes alive by the placement of rich textures one on top of the other. A fan made of old book pages and little pine cones from outdoors make it extremely easy to put together.
I hope you enjoyed these very simple wrapping ideas. Wouldn’t these look precious under your tree or as a set just for display?
Next week I will incorporate small traces of colour without jeopardizing simplicity. I hope you’re able to visit again and take a look.
Have a great and peaceful weekend!
much love,
Lucy
