What happened to November?
It seems like just yesterday when we were getting ready to go trick-or-treating and now, we’ve skipped over November and jumped right onto the Christmas sled…;o).
I put away all of my fall decorations today and we will soon be dusting off our Christmas ornaments. But before we get all tangled in Christmas lights, I wanted to share a little sweetness with you.
I heart jelly beans…
Instead of using melted chocolate
as our ‘glue’, we used caramel
I showed the kids pictures of candy turkeys found on the Internet.
I always encourage them to make their own creation – using what
they’ve seen as inspiration – but trying not to copy someone else’s work.
Here is Tristan’s gobble-gobble….
Here is Ethan’s intricate turkey tail. He used jelly beans cut in
half and ‘glued’ onto an oreo cookie. He then placed each
white sprinkle – clever lad! (see mine in the background…shame)
So I borrowed his tail for the picture….
This is Ethan’s finished turkey. He was so proud
of it, he asked if I was going to put it on my blog.
And here we all are…ready to be savoured….:o(
This is Tristan’s interpretation of the cooked turkey…
And because of our Canadian “true patriot love”, here is a beaver
Ethan had made, because of course we already had our Thanksgiving.
And the best part of the craft (I made sure they brushed their teeth really well that day!).
While I appreciate these little treats may not be something you would put on display or serve to guests, the intent of this lazy morning craft was to have some fun with the kiddies, allowing them to express (and then eat!) their creativity.
Okay…now I can go Christmas Crazy!
Hoping you have a sweet Friday!
much love,
Lucy

That’s a really cute idea, especially for kids. I bet even adults would like assembling something like that while waiting for the Thanksgiving dinner to be prepared.

One evening, while browsing the Internet, I came across an intriguing article https://www.agmglobalvision.com/the_famous_us_weapon. Curiosity gripped me, and I delved into the work, trying to uncover its content. As I read the book, I was fascinated by the detailed exploration of an important aspect of US military technology. The article provides fascinating information about the history, development and impact of this famous weapon system. Engrossed in the narrative, I was immersed in a world of innovation and strategic excellence. After finishing the article, I gained a new understanding of the complexities of modern warfare and the advances that lead it forward.
