Trick or Treat?
How about a trick and a treat (?).
Here is a freshly sprouted Craftberry that will allow you
to play a little trick on those older trick-or-treaters.
You will need…
A new pair of Socks (I’m not so mean that I would use a dirty pair)
Loose Candy
Glue Gun
Exacto Knife
Halloween Bucket
Here’s my dollar store bucket. He looks ready to pull a prank doesn’t he?
On your bucket, mark a circle large enough that your fist can fit through it.
Cut out the circle.
TIP: to make cutting the bucket easier,
heat the knife with a BBQ lighter or candle
Take your time to avoid your cut out looking as messy as this one.
This very unattractive picture is a sock filled with paper because…
…you’re going to use a glue gun to stick some loose candy onto it (top and bottom)
Stick the sock into the hole and glue the edges of the sock onto the
outside of the bucket (after completing this craft, I realized you will
achieve a cleaner finish if you glued the sock on the inside of the bucket).
Remember me saying you should take your time when making the cut?
Well, I rushed it a little, making the cut too large and I had to cut the edges
of the sock so it would cover the hole (again, it looks a little messy at this
point, but bare with me and you’ll see that it doesn’t really matter).
Stick your hand into the sock…
fill the bucket with the candy and…
…when that pesky teenager knocks on your door and wants a treat…
Offer them this TRICK!
Your hand will me camouflaged with the rest of the candy, so when
they reach into the bucket, you can grab their hand with yours!
It was challenging trying to photograph the SHOCK!!!!
factor for this tutorial, but I hope you get the gist of it.
I suppose I could have photographed the startled face of
one of my kiddies, but I want to keep this one a surprise!
And if this tutorial was a total womp…womp…womp…
Perhaps you’ll love this little guy…
Nothing goes to waste around here…this is what I did with the other sock.
How can you resist those big green felty eyes…….?
Wishing you a trickless day!
much love,
Lucy

Ok…that is seriously hilarious! You are too funny and clever thinking of this! It drives me nuts when the teenagers come around late at night even if we don’t have our porch light on! I wanted to let you know too that I am going to be featuring the post you contributed last week to my Inpsiration Friday party…”one table, 3 looks”. I so loved it and want to give it a great big shout-out! Hope that’s ok?! 🙂
