Hello, friends…I hope you’re enjoying your weekend so far.
Today we took advantage of the mild weather and began decorating our front porch. I’ll finish the rest tomorrow and hopefully share it with you soon.
In the interim, I’m so pleased to be joining my friends once again in the Seasons of Home series. Organized by my sweet friend Kristen and our friends at Birch Lane.
Birch Lane is one of my favourite places to shop because it offers beautiful classics that are affordable.
Last year’s bedroom had a lot of color and I loved it, but this year, I went with more neutrals with pops of red. Red is such a festive color and I love seeing it at Christmas.
If you’re a long time reader, you might remember us updating our old headboard a few years ago and though I really liked it, we have had that particular frame for over 20 years and it was time for an upgrade.
I ordered this beautiful upholstered panel bed from Birch Lane and it’s exactly what I wanted. So easy to dress up or down and I love how the red of the cardinal just pops! The little cardinal pillow is an oldie from my shop.
I enjoy mixing patterns and textures as I believe it adds a lot of warmth and interest to a space.
And of course our sweet little guy. He coordinates so well with the room, don’t you think?
The other day, someone left a comment asking why bloggers share so many photos of the same space. While I can appreciate their perspective, it’s often easier for me to visualize a space when I have different angles, and so that’s the route I choose to take (and will continue to take). I hope you don’t mind me sharing photos of my favorite dog in different poses.
He’s just too cute…:)
I’m so grateful for your visits and hope these photos offer some inspiration and perhaps give you an idea or two that you can incorporate into your own home.
I also wanted to let you know that Birch Lane is having a fun contest via Instagram. All you have to do is snap a picture of your holiday-ready space, tag @birchlane and #birchlaneholiday to be entered for the chance to win $500.00 to shop @birchlane and featured on our feed. 🙂
Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Wishing you a blessed Sunday, and please don’t forget to check out the rest of the amazing bedrooms from my friends below.
much love,

Beautiful room. Your rug also caught my eye. Can I ask where you got it? Nice to read blogs from fellow Canadians.

The room is so warm and inviting. Love the rug too! Anxious to hear where it was purchased from as well.

Beautiful and bright room decorated for Christmas and it’s funny I had a reader say she appreciates photos of each thing so she can get a closer look and she loves full room shots so she knows what the room looks like. She mentioned how Dear Lillie takes lots of photos and she loves that so keep on sharing them and I will, too.
BTW, there is no link for the very first photo in the tour and Dear Lillie’s link goes to Maison de Pax. You may want to inform the host. 🙂

Thanks, Kim. And thank you for pointing out the link error. It has since been fixed.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful decorating ideas with us. The bedroom looks fabulous; it is the perfect spot for spending time with near ones during Christmas. I loved the table lamps, they look really elegant. Please keep on sharing more beautiful decor ideas in the upcoming posts.

Could you explain it more clearly?

Today, we made the most of the pleasant weather by starting to decorate our front porch. The remainder will be completed tomorrow, and I hope to share it with you shortly.
