Hello friends! Welcome to week two of our Outdoor Extravaganza series.
Last week I shared this pretty little succulent planter and this week, we
will be sharing a few outdoor decorating ideas.
But first, I thought I would show off some
of the beautiful projects you linked up using succulents.
You can see more plants and flower projects here.
I have to admit that this has been one of the more
challenging posts to put together as the weather
has not been very cooperative and our
backyard is still looking pretty shabby after such a long winter.
Our grass has not fully grown in, there are muddy patches on the ground and even a few holes that our sweet little pup (read sarcasm) has dug. And to top it off ,it was one of those days when it was sunny one minute, cloudy the next and continuously windy so photographing was a bit of a challenge.
Usually our teak table sits in the middle but it really needs to be stained
so I decided to use these old wooden freight crates as tables for now.
There is still so much we have to get done in the backyard.
I am trying to convince hubby to paint the fence black, but he’s not convinced.
We also have to paint our lawn chairs and do some landscaping.
I did manage to recover the lawn chair cushions last week.
I’m still a little cautious about planting as the weather has
not reached a nice constant warmth and
it still gets pretty chilly during the night.
So here is a close up of my old window
frame turned planter from a few years ago.
You can read about it here.
This is our favourite little
spot to sit in the summer and share some good conversations.
Can you tell I’m loving succulents this year?
and I also love the way the terracotta pots look sitting on these rustic crates.
I can’t wait to update you once everything blooms and our lawn is looking
nice and lush again! 🙂
Is your space ready for the summer? I would love to see and get some ideas, so don’t forget to come back tomorrow to link up your outdoor decorating ideas.

No-one would know you still had work to do! I totally love your seating area and I am inspired to work with succulents. The weather has just started to warm up here in the UK and everything is growing rapidly. So exciting!

I know what you mean about the weather being challenging this year! Our grass is patchy and so many of our shrubs are just starting to peek through. That being said, your outdoor space is gorgeous, and I know it will only get better. We should all plan on follow up pics, don’t you think?

Hey there! Welcome back to our Outdoor Extravaganza series. Today, we’re diving into some outdoor decorating ideas. Despite the challenging weather and our less-than-perfect backyard, we’re making it work with some DIY charm. Our space might not be fully ready yet, but we’re tackling tasks like staining the table and considering a fence paint job. Plus, I’m still indulging in my succulent obsession! Can’t wait to see everything bloom. Share your outdoor decor ideas with us tomorrow and get inspired! Also, if you need any assistance with your Thesis Help, don’t hesitate to reach out.
