Hello friends. I hope you’ve had a great week so far. Even though it’s only Wednesday, I’ve had a super busy week. I’m not complaining at all as I feel blessed every single day.
I’m just trying to catch up a little from being away this weekend. We visited our son in Ottawa over the weekend as he turned 19 on Sunday. It was soooo good to see him and spend time with him.
It truly is so hard to not have your kids around. If you’re a momma you know how much you want to just protect your kids but at the same time, you know that it’s good for them to experience life and
allowing them to grow and fend for themselves. I always tell hubby of this unrealistic scene in my head, one where my three kiddies are in a glass box and no one can touch them or harm them and I just take care of them. LOL. Actually, writing that out just seems like an episode of ‘Black Mirror’ and not at all appealing…LOL.
Anywaaaayyyy, today’s post is our home summer tour hosted by my sweet friend Krista.
To be honest, I haven’t really done much this year, just added a few plants a couple of pillows I ordered.
I moved these chairs from the family room and ordered new ones for there …
I’m also doing a collaboration with Canadian Tire and these cool dining chairs are actually outdoor chairs but our outdoor space isn’t ready yet, so they’re in here for now and I don’t mind it at all.
I actually really love the look of the dining room with these black bucket chairs here….
We also changed the chandelier to something a little more fresh for the season…
And of course added lots of green….
Because our backyard is being worked on, we had to move my Peony plant to another spot and I’m hoping that it will still bloom. It currently has a bunch of little blooms so we’ll see what happens…
I shared our family room a couple of weeks ago HERE…
Nothing too much has changed.
That’s it for now, but please make sure you check out the rest of the home tours below for more beautiful summer inspiration.
I hope you have a beautiful week ahead.
much love,
Lucy.

I love your house Lucy! Light and bright and yet still feels cozy and inviting. If you’re feeling sad now about your son, wait until he gets married. Then you will know that feeling very quickly that you aren’t his number one anymore! Now “that” will be a tough pill for you to swallow. I still have a hard time with it, and he’s almost 30 and has been married 8 years now. I can understand it, but I don’t like the feeling. I do know what it’s like for them to be the age of your son and when they leave the nest though! I had twins (boy and girl) and they both left at the same time to go off to college and university. Both my husband and I cried..lol..My daughter went to U of T and never lived at home again after that and still lives there. . My son lives with his wife and little girl in the same town as us. But, yes they do grow and learn and become very independent and that is exactly what a parent wants, right? 😊

Oh, Lucy, it must be so hard to have him away from school. I can’t even imagine. I’m currently counting down the days until my kids get out of school for the summer (early release on Tuesday). I love being with them. I love the updates you’ve made for summer and can’t wait to see your backyard. xxx

I don’t understand why a blogger doesn’t respond to questions, especially when it involves products they are interested in. Your followers are why you are making money and taking a few minutes to respond would be appreciated by your followers and would also show that you care about that fact that they spend part of their day looking at your blog.
Patti says
I would ask a question but since others have had theirs unanswered I’ll move on from this blog…
Julie says
Yep. I agree. Keep coming back hoping for an answer. Bad form.
Jessica says
Really don’t understand why you’d have a blog like this and not only not post sources but also not respond to comments.
