Hello friends! I hope you had a great weekend!
Today, I’m excited to do a little collaboration with my friend Hannah from
We lived happily ever after blog and share with you some free watercolor backgrounds and how to use them in Photoshop and Picmonkey.
Hannah is a self taught PhotoShop guru and a creative young soul and she will be showing how to make the Printable in Photoshop.
But since not all of us own PhotoShop , we thought I would share with you a similar version on Picmonkey which is absolutely fast and easy.
So let’s get started…
After downloading and saving your free watercolor background, import it onto Picmonkey and adjust the exposure as you wish. You can change the brightness, highlights, shadows and contrast.
Once you are happy with it , click ‘Apply’.
Decide on the font you wish to use. I find that with this type of background, bolder fonts work better. Above I show you the various fonts and their names for your reference.
Once you have chosen your font. Click ‘add font’ and write out your message. You can now change the color of your font to white. You can also adjust the blend modes to make the letters stand out a little more.
And that is it! Wasn’t that simple and fun?
You can also import your own overlay , such as I have done here.
The small print:
For personal use only.
Do not offer these as a download on your own site, please link back here.
If you wish to use these for commercial or branding purposes, please feel free
to contact me at craftberrybush@yahoo.com for further information.
If you enjoy the use of these on your blog or website, please provide credit to Craftberrybush.com
Now head on over to Hanna’s blog to learn
how to make your own printable using PhotoShop
and while you are there, check out some other beautiful free printables Hanna has made
available to download as well as her brand new Etsy shop. 🙂
Feel free to print this one for yourself and
thank you so much for taking the time to visit today!
I hope you have a beautiful week!
much love,

Thank you so much for these gorgeous watercolor backgrounds. I just created some beautiful “My One Word” images in Picmonkey to have printed as gifts for three dear friends. Finding your site today was perfect timing. I was able to create exactly what I needed, and I saved time and money by not having to custom order from Etsy! I could never have done it without you.

Do you have a similar tutorial for how to do this with an image, instead of text.

Basically design is really a discipline that concentrates
on visual presentation and communication. Browsers including Google Chrome respond well to the video tags and video uploads.
Many graphic design companies simply get too caught up with creating
a visual impact; although important in attracting initial interest, capturing the eye with the consumer,
it really is the message that actually works to convince and convert the potential customer into a
real customer.
